Dessa romantiska bilder härstammar från åren mellan 1910 och 1932. Det är åtminstone under dessa år de postats. Brevpressen från början av nittonhundratalet innehåller en blomdekorerad ung dam som ser både nöjd och bestämd ut. Jag gillar hennes uttryck. Det känns på något vis uppmuntrande, trots att hennes person för mig är helt okänd.
Jag har alltid fängslats av gamla brev och kort. Dessa och några till hittade jag på Tradera, och de lockade min fantasi.
Kanske bidrar de till en berättelse så småningom. "These romantic images originate from the period between 1910 and 1932. At least it is during these years they are posted. Paperweight from the early twentieth century contains a floral decorated young lady who looks both pleased and determined. I like her expression. It feels somehow encouraging, although her person for me is completely unknown. I have always been fascinated by old letters and cards. These and a few others I got at a netauktion, and they appealed to my imagination. Maybe they will contribute to a story eventually."

På sista tiden har jag inte varit så vidare bra på att blogga. I stället har jag tillbringat tiden vid datorn med att söka fakta och skriva annat, och emellanåt med att titta igenom tradera efter lämpliga pinaler att pynta det kommande hemmet med.
Den här till exempel en liten Pålle. Jag tror att det är Brio som gjort den. "Lately I have not been on good blogging. Instead, I have spent time at the computer writing other things, and occasionally to look through Tradera for suitable things to decorate the coming home with. This, for example, a small toyhorse. I think Brio made it."
Jag har även hittat ett par käcka röda väskor att förvara mössor och sådant i och en utmärkt kaffekvarn.
En enorm burk för Cardarmin, någon sorts kardemummaersättning, och en sats med kryddburkar från Gefle. Därtill alla fyra Prinsessornas kokbok från trettiotalet. Plus en filmaffisch med Sickan Carlsson.
Ni ser ju vartåt det lutar. Inte en modern pryl så långt ögat når.
Jag gillar helt enkelt inte nya saker så enkelt är det.
Fast huset är ju nytt.
Då kan man ju inte bara ha nya saker i det. Inte för många i alla fall.
Då blir det själlöst.
Det gamla huset hade själ så det räckte, och mossa och hästtagel mellan stockarna i köket.
Det gav karaktär och skräpade en del.

Though the house's new, you just can´t have all brand new things in it. Not too many, anyway. Then it will become soulless. The old house had lots of soul, and moss and horsehair between the logs in the kitchen. It gave character and littered some. Now this home becomes something else entirely."
